Lives and works in Paris
Max was first influenced by the gestural abstraction of Wega Nery, his grandmother and renowned painter in Brazil. Later, through his 15 years of professional experience as a professional photographer and photo editor for the weekly news magazine ISTOÉ, in São Paulo.
This professional experience includes trips to photograph all states of Brazil, Amazon, Venezuela, United States, Japan, Mexico, the elections in Brazil, social issues, Paralympic Games, etc.
Shortlisted for the very competitive, biennial “The Marmite Prize for Painting” in London, and honorable mention in the Paraty Prize for contemporary art, Rio de Janeiro.
Max is enrolled in a MFA master’s degree program in Fine arts at prestigious Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
